Home Oxygen

  • Concentrators – provide a never-ending supply of home oxygen and can be wheeled to any area of your home.
  • Portable units and conserving devices - can be used in conjunction with a concentrator, however are used mainly when outside the home or traveling. A small, lightweight tank with a conserving device can provide several hours of use.
  • Home-fill systems – give the patient the freedom to fill their portable tanks from the concentrator.
  • Pulse oximetry – can be performed by a respiratory therapist at the request of your doctor. This test can assess the need for home oxygen or allow your clinician to determine if you are receiving an adequate amount of oxygen.

Sleep Therapy

  • CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) – a home, bedside device that is applied during sleep to improve a person’s breathing. CPAP units usually consist of a one unit and accessories including filters, tubing and a nasal or oral interface worn with sleep.
  • BIPAP (Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure) – similar to CPAP units and its accessories, yet involves varying levels of airway pressure instead of continuous airway pressure.
  • Nocturnal Oxygen – can be used as an alternative to CPAP or BIPAP for persons who are unable to acclimate contraindication to positive pressure therapy. Oxygen concentrators are the standard of care for these candidates.

Airway Management

  • Nebulizer and compressor – portable or tabletop device that enables one to administer aerosolized medications to relieve airway or lung inflammation.
  • Unit-dose medication – precise, pre-mixed vials of bronchodilators used in conjunction with the nebulizer and compressor.
  • Tracheostomy tubes and supplies – complete line of equipment and supplies are available for persons with a permanent or temporary tracheostomy. Cool mist via mask, trach holders, gauze sponges, etc.
  • Suction units – free standing and portable devices used to create a vacuum effect. Generally used to minimize oral tracheal secretions.
